Be wary of the latest fraudulent emails circulating
According to a recent report by the Federal Bureau of Investigation's website, there is a rise in fraudulent emails circulating which claim that the targeted email recipient has been reported to the Department of Justice, Internal Revenue Service or similar organization.
The email tries to persuade potential victims to click a hyperlink or open an attachment to reference a supposed complaint which was filed against them.
Remember to never open attachments or follow hyperlinks that are suspicious in nature as they will often contain viruses or will attempt to direct you to a fraudulent website.
